Cinnamon-Maple Almonds

Cinnamon-Maple Almonds

With the holiday season fast approaching, it’s so great to have some treats on hand to share and these nuts...awww...super for snackin’, great mix-in for a yogurt parfait or smoothie and perfect for that ‘not-too-sweet’ sweet tooth after dinner with coffee. Love. And a bonus for these nuts is that they’re super quick to throw together since it’s all on the stovetop. It’s almost not a recipe and more of a love for sharing a wonderful toasted cinnamon aroma throughout your house. I’m getting excited over the cooler days and these warm cinnamon-maple nuts add to the blessings. Here they are...

  • 1 Tbsp Avocado oil
  • 3 Tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1 cup whole almonds
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

In a sauté pan, combine the first two ingredients (oil and syrup) on medium heat until warmed. Add the almonds. Cook stirring constantly about 5 minutes. When the nuts look like they’re ‘drying’ with the oil and maple syrup, remove from heat and sprinkle with the cinnamon and sea salt. Stir well to ensure all nuts are coated with cinnamon and salt. Spread on parchment paper to cool. (Note: If you or your audience prefer sweeter nuts, go ahead and increase the maple syrup.) Enjoy!
